Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July
After finishing our hike at Carnarvon Gorge today and driving 90mins to Rolleston, we enjoyed a lovely meal at the pub after 6 days of freeze-dried hiking food and a good sleep inside a cabin out of the cold and in a double bed. It was bliss!
We did some housekeeping on Sunday, unpacked and repacked our hiking bags and just had a well-earned rest day.
Tomorrow we hope to start our drive north towards Townsville for hiking adventure number 2.

- We decided to drive to Rolleston and stay in a cabin for a couple of nights well earned rest. Distance from Carnarvon to Rolleston 89km

- ..it was a funny little caravan park. From 11am they started rolling in and booked to capacity each night and by 10am they had all left again…

- .. These were also the cabins that miners stayed in as well..

- ..a well equipped park east Rolleston, as well as 2 tennis courts, a library, pub, post office, service station and state school.
