Prague, Czech Republic – Day 2

Today was another busy day in Prague as we only had till 2 before we needed to catch the metro to the bus station.
We headed out early. Went to see a 7ft Sigmund Freud, statue of Franz Kafka, the Hunger Wall, Dancing Building, John Lennon Wall and the markets near our house. We ran out of time for the Jewish cemetery as it was in a large Jewish precinct which needed 1/2 a day to do it justice. As you always say mum “we have left something to come back to”. We ate traditional food from the market stalls for lunch. DB had a ham sausage on a roll and I had the sausage with some baked potatoes with bacon and onion. DB had an iced chocolate donut which was like flaky pastry inside and I indulged in another trdlo with ice cream and chocolate flakes. Have had to forget the diet to enjoy some traditional fare. Hopefully my belly survives.
We then headed back to bus station to go home to Benny.
A summary of Prague.
A beautiful city with amazing architecture of many eras (can’t really tell which is which but all different), lovely parks, many bridges and statues , enormous castles and churches, interesting and tasty food. An astronomical clock that we managed to pass on the hour about 3 times (others stood and waited where we just had great timing). Many beggars (sometimes dressed in brand new clothes, others collecting cigarette butts from the gutter and emptying the contents from the butt into a tobacco tin, I assume to smoke later) and street performers.
An experience to enjoy and remember. Our legs won’t forget yesterday’s exhaustion easily. Mind you they were OK and ready to go again today.  we needed to catch the metro to the bus station.
