Fishery Falls to Cairns, QLD

We are having a quiet day heading from Fishery Falls to Cairns with a walk along the way.

We enjoyed a lovely walk to Behana Gorge, it was a lot harder than we were expecting, some very steep up and down hills but on an easy path. The gorge was beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely swim at the waterfall.

We then headed back to Cairns for the night for a little rest at the hotel again. Some aircon, a big bed and a good rest.

: The finally waterfall and swimming hoe was beautiful..

: ..the water was a little fresh but enjoyed as it was a very hot hike..

: ..as this 1m eel was swimming very near by..

: ..it was very inquisitive..

: ..checking us out as we stood on the edge. David saw another one with a girth about the size of a bread and butter plate..

: David had a swim to the waterfall and I had one quick dip before we left..

: ..as I like swimming with eels less than the chance of sharks..

: Heading back down after an extended day. We thought it was 30mins there and back with a quick swim. Two and a half hours later we were back at the car.

: As we left the gorge we drove towards our long last friend – Walsh’s Pyramid

: Yet again we travel 38km north to Cairns.
