South Coast Trip – Day 2

Monday 26th April 2021

We left the Windmill Motel at Woonona and headed to Wollongong Central where we did a little walk to see the street art. As always we are amazed at how much talent there is on such a large scale. Very impressive. We then went to Hill 60 Lookout at Port Kembla and Bass Point, Shell Cove. Once again we were blessed with a gorgeous day weatherwise.

We then headed to the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre where we enjoyed a short walk through the rainforest and had a little lunch break in the car. We then stopped at Saddleback Mountain Lookout in Kiama where we could see right out to the coast.

We then continued south to Hyams Beach where David unbelievably had a swim and then on to Blenheim Beach. The white sands meet the beautiful blue water here and are quite spectacular but unfortunately it was a bit late and the sun was on its way down so we missed this by about 30minutes. Oh well, maybe next time.

We then drove via Vincentia to our accommodation at the Huskisson Beach Motel. After a little rest we went for a lovely dinner at Stonegrill Huskisson which was a short walk from our hotel. We all enjoyed a beautiful meal that we cooked on the Stone Grill. Yummy!
